Our Early Childhood classes drew rainbows of hope to thank our healthcare workers and first responders.
Our teachers and staff miss our children so much and are looking forward to the time when we can all be together again!
We began distance learning with our students on March 17th. Grades K-8 are logging in to Google Classroom every morning to see the day’s assignments. Students will then attend a Zoom meeting or Google Meet with their teacher who will teach a lesson on a particular topic. In some cases, the teacher may break the students into groups to provide more personalized teaching. All teachers will also have “Office Hours,” where they are available to answer questions or clarify an assignment.
We are so proud of our students and their ability to transition to this new way of learning. They have participated in a Zoom “Show and Tell.” The 4th and 5th grade shared the books they are reading in a Zoom Reading Roundup. We attended a Holy Week Prayer Service via our church’s live stream on Facebook. Our 8th graders completed their yearbooks via Zoom meetings.
Our youngest students in grades Nursery and PK have been completing their activities via Class Dojo. They are posting pictures of all of the wonderful things they are doing from home. Our Music teacher has been posting songs for them to sing. The teachers are filming themselves reading books to our children.
We will continue to work with our students and parents to provide our children with an excellent online education until the time when we can all be together again!
