It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Resurrection Ascension Catholic Academy!
As I begin my 20th year as principal, I reflect on the many ways our school has grown over the years. In 2002 the only Internet connection was a dial up in the school offices. Now we are equipped with Wi-Fi throughout the school, and every child has access to their own device. We have added enrichment programs in the Arts that focus on drama, dance, and music. Our Early Childhood Program has been enhanced by the addition of the 3K and PK For All programs. Many extra-curricular programs such as Newspaper, Choir, Student Council and Safety Patrol add to the life of each student.
But many things have not changed. Educating our children in the faith and teaching them to live the Gospel remains the main goal of our school. We continue to emphasize the importance of service to others and love of those different from ourselves. Prayer is the bedrock upon which we are built.
We combine this love of God with love of learning. Our hope is that each child in our school reaches their full potential, ready to share their unique gifts and talents with the world.
Finally, every child in our school knows that they are loved and respected. I often tell our parents that we treat our children as if they are our own. Each child is known to all, cared for and nurtured. They are your greatest gift and our greatest responsibility.
A picture hangs at the entrance of our school that sums up Resurrection Ascension perfectly. It says:
Be it know to all who enter here that
CHRIST
Is the reason for this school. He is the unseen but ever-present teachers in its classes. He is the model of its faculty and the inspiration of its students.
Warm Regards,
Joann Heppt
